committee will endeavour to notify members as soon as practicable of any

Feb 18th Wed - Outing - ‘Colour’ Gawler 7.30 pm meeting place to be announced, to look for and
photograph the colour (to be chosen on Feb 4th) then each to create a poster of 6 to 9 photos
showcasing the colour.
Feb 25th committee meeting.
March 4th - Block of colour comp
Definition - An image where a dominant single colour is the focus for the subject or object within
the composition. Selective colour may be used in the ‘colour set subject’ section and only
shades of a single colour is permitted in the ‘mono set’ section.
March 18th - Activity - Frame in Frame portraits, 7.30 at club, bring with you camera, lights, tripod, framing objects ie frames, boxes etc. a friend to act as a model if possible.
March 25th committee meeting.
April 1st - Portraits comp.
Definition - traditional portrait photography focuses on the subjects face, emotion and expressions.
As a result, a traditional portrait will include the subjects head and shoulders.
April 15th - Outing Mawson Lakes concentrate on reflections in the water, shop fronts etc. meet at
Boat Deck Cafe 7.30 pm.
April 22nd committee meeting.
May 6th - Not for competition evening’ PRINTS min 8x10, All to bring with you prints you
have taken will do an in house display and talk about why you like / took the image. You may be
able to make a selection suitable for our SALA exhibition. If help is needed please ask.
May 20th - Guest speaker Peter Cheung - Peter will be giving us a talk on "how to shoot bridges".
May 27th committee meeting.
June 3rd - Bridges comp.
Definition- A structure carrying a road, path, railway, etc Across a river, road, or other obstacle.
Image can include viaducts, aquaducts, an overpass, freeway flyovers, or wayovers. For this
competition we are excluding ship bridges, the card game, or dental devices.
June 17th to be advised.
June 24th committee meeting.
July 1st. - Macro comp.
Definition - A picture taken from a close distance.
July 15th to be advised.
July 22nd committee meeting.
Aug 5th - Landscape/seascape comp.
Definition - A picture featuring the natural scenery of the terrain. A tree or trees, people, houses or buildings may be included but should NOT dominate the picture. A picure of the sea or waves predominate. Coastal features or the shoreline may be included to a lesser degree.

Sept 2nd - Flora comp.
Definition - An image of a plant or part thereof, i.e. flower(s) or leave/leaves.
September 16th to be advised.
September 23rd committee meeting.
Oct 7th - Through the Glass comp.
Definition - A photo taken through glass. It may be taken through glass of some form including, but not limited to, a window, drinking glass, lens ball, diamond, chandelier, etc.
Oct wed 21st to be advised.

Nov. Sat. 7th end of year judging
